"After training with Calvin for almost 9 years, it’s sometimes hard to remember where I was when I started. I do know that I am much stronger, healthier and I sleep much better. I have dropped several sizes in clothes, and I have definition in my arms, shoulders and back. The best part is that this has happened without the fear of “bulking up”. I am leaner and much more fit. It’s nice when people say that I look good and healthy. Sometimes when you go through a transformation, and get into shape, you look pale and unhealthy.
I really appreciate that our training sessions are 1 on 1 and tailored to my goals and abilities. I enjoy being pushed and value that Calvin understands that. Over the years I have had several injuries, and he has tweaked my workout sessions so that I could still have maximum gain. Calvin takes the time to get to know you as a person and to understand what your objectives and targets are. You are not just a client to him.

And if they are thinking that they will have to give up every food they love, they are wrong. “I have been working out with Cal for over 10 years now and what I enjoy most is that every session is different. He mixes up every workout, every week focusing on different muscle groups and utilizing different resistance machines, but always incorporating free weights as well.
I never know what the workout will be and I could never do this without having Cal training me and planning out the sessions. Every workout is unique and by the end of the week its a full body workout that hits all the major muscle groups. I enjoy learning the different techniques and how switching up an exercise even in a small way can make a big difference in how the muscles react or what muscles are impacted most.
Cal also brings expertise when it comes to nutrition and whether you are trying to build muscle, just maintain your current physical form, or lose weight, it's always about BOTH nutrition AND training. Trying to just workout or just diet a certain way will NEVER achieve the same results as being committed to both working out and eating properly.
Changing my diet over the years has also been a huge benefit and what I have learned from talking to Cal just during our training sessions about nutrition has made a huge impact on my energy, focus and even sleep. By no means do I adhere to any strict diet, but I’m always aware and that awareness even makes a difference. I always know when I start feeling sluggish with less energy what I need to do to get myself back on track.
Personal, private training is a financial commitment but I have found it to be one of the best investments I’ve made in my life and in my quality of life as a result of how I feel after training with Cal. I workout in the morning before work and it's the best way to start my day with the most energy and a positive outlook. I’ve been working out with a personal trainer for over 20 years and Cal is without a doubt one of the best, most knowledgeable, but also personable I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and working with.
